You may have heard on the internet about Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) and wondered what it is.
Rapid Transformational Therapy is the new breakthrough stand-alone therapy created by world renowned Marisa Peer. Marisa Peer has been in the health and wellness industry for over thirty years. Her humble beginnings began as a child psychologist, where she quickly transitioned to hypnotherapy and then the creator and founder of RTT.
The reason being for creating her own therapy was she was not seeing the results she desired for her clients through traditional psychology and talk therapy.
Fast forward thirty years and she has helped thousands of people all over the world including celebrities, royal family, national sporting teams, athletes, CEO’s and business leaders.
So what is so special about Rapid Transformational Therapy anyway? First things first, RTT is a stand alone therapy. There is some confusion and comparison around RTT that it is hypnosis.
RTT is not hypnosis. RTT accesses the subconscious mind through a relaxed hypnotic induction, but that is where the similarities end between RTT and hypnosis.
What does rtt feel like?
RTT uses hypnotic induction which is like a rapid meditation to get you into a completely relaxed state. The reason RTT is highly successful is because we can access the subconscious mind through alpha brain wave stimulation and bypass the conscious mind, the part of you that wants to think “logically”.
My clients report different feeling states when they have a session, but the most common term I hear it being described as is a relaxed dream-like state. I personally refer to RTT as “meditation with a goal” which perfectly sums up what RTT is.
RTT beautifully combines relaxation with Neuro Linguistic programming (NLP), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Psychotherapy to help you get to the root cause of a problem you are having.
Ive tried everything but there is still something holding me back!
This is a super common theme I come across in my practice everyday. People have gone years and years and tried various forms of counselling and psychologists, hoping to release their issues.
The problem with talk therapy is, it constantly rehashes the issues at hand and continually fuses the neurons togethers to keep that thought pattern active.
Your brain and body does not understand time. Something that happened to you in your past cannot be distinguished in your mind between the past and present. Talk therapy keeps the thoughts and feelings about the event active and therefore feeling like the event is current in your life.
With RTT we are able to get to the root cause of an issue, break the brain pattern connections and allow new positive thought process to develop so the old patterns, thoughts, behaviours and beliefs can be changed.
Something that happened in your past can have a huge hold on you in every part of your life if the thoughts and feelings aren’t released.
Alot of times my clients don’t even realise they are being held back by something that happened in childhood. This is because our subconscious mind acts like a tape recorder to remember everything that ever happened to us. We just don’t realise it affects us until we are adults and cannot achieve something we truly desire, like a happy relationship, career success, money, health etc.
what if im scared to uncover the past or dont want to remember it?
Many people bury the past out of fear, anger and hurt. The beautiful thing about Rapid Transformational Therapy is that you are in control the whole time. You are just the observer of a past event that can no longer hurt you. If your subconscious mind is showing you events that you have repressed for a long time, chances are your mind is crying out for you to resolve it and heal it.
Revisiting the past can be daunting and scary, but it is truly liberating once you do. The goal is not to re-traumatise or hurt you, it is to resolve the event and help you move forward in a positive and empowered way.
No one can ever make you do anything you don’t want to do. RTT is not about mind control, or handing over power to the therapist. It is about helping the client to release the underlying hurt that has had power over them for so long. The client is always in control of their session and their own healing.
You are the key to change from within…
